I know a lot of you feel the same, but this band has been accompanying me almost since I remember, it’s hard not to consider them almost members of my family. During my teen years with Enema and TOYPAJ, growing a bit older with Untitled, a weird “find yourself” phase that maybe lasted too long and then, after reconciling myself with the kid I was, finding myself comfortable in being a skate-punk k̶i̶d̶ man, not turning my back on my roots just to fit in or be what I’m expected to be… One More Time comes with this incredible energy. I thought this kind of connection with an album, specially a pop-punk album, was something restricted to youth, but OMT (honorable mention to the new MXPX too) has proved me wrong.

    Great album.

Best songs for me are (in no order):
    Anthem Part 3
    Dance with Me
    More Than You Know
    Blink Wave
    Bad News
    Turpentine

Only skippable track is the cringey Fell in Love.

it was fun reading the polarizing reactions to it when it dropped before finally listening to it with the rest of the album. BIOMY all over again. but it's a totally fine and fun song! the chorus and Mark's nana's have been in my head all day

Fell in Love would be better without the royalty free music intro

@Jason Tate , just wanted to say kudos on an amazing essay on the album. Was a great & emotional read this morning.

This part in particular absolutely nailed it: "To explain the impact Blink-182 had on a generation, one needs to understand that I didn’t just want to listen to Blink-182. I wanted to be Blink-182."

This 100%. I had the yellow Adio hat, Hurley t-shirts, etc. I dressed up as Tom for Halloween every year from 8th grade throughout HS, complete with fake lip ring.

    Things have changed.

But the thing is: We're all blink-182! The fashion was just one part of it. The mentality, the sense of humor, the friendship – that's blink-182 deep down.

Haven't used this account in a while but wanted to share my thoughts any way:

Dance with me is pure blink 182 - up there with their best.
More than you know - Reminds me of Violence, I think it could be the best song on the album.
Terrified is great, really love it.
anthem part 3 is fun but is the weakest out of the anthems.
You don't know what you've got - Solid song.
The rest I don't think will last in my playlists for me but will see, they could grow on me.

    Now for the controversial opinion:

Neighbourhoods is a better album but One More Time has better singles.

Got that same shirt at Target last month. So either we’re both punk or we’re both not punk since it was from Target and not Hot Topic.

  19. “One more time” sounded sooooo much better live lastnight than it did the first time played it. They have really dialed it in. Sounded great.

Why is it that "dialed it in" is good, but "phoning it in" is bad?

    Better than you, sorry

I may have listened to Neighborhoods one time all the way through. California, also maybe once. Nine, never—Not even close to listening to it all the way through. OMT, I’ve listened to it all the way through through my phones speaker, iPhone headphones, car speakers, jbl headphones, Sony headphones, living room tv surround sound speakers, ok Google Whole house speakers, and my vinyl record player speakers just to make sure I’ve heard everything properly
