Apparently flashpoint is only supposed to last for a couple episodes... I think (and this is just a guess on my part) for at most, six episodes and then they go back to the normal timeline. They're using this as a way to change thing like how the original flashpoint changed things in DC comics where (I believe) it started the "New 52" universe. In the CW verse it's a way of bringing the Supergirl universe into the Flarrowverse and because Barry is messing with time and space there has to be repercussions, even when he inevitably fixes it (again see DC comics and their New 52, or the current Rebirth series). Even when Barry brings things "back to normal" the status quo won't ever be the same again.

Again, there will be ramifications for Barry's actions. We just know that the fusion of Supergirl's universe and the Flarrow universe is one of them. There has to be more because again. Messing with time will have ripple effect on time and space.

Watched Seasons 1-2 a few years ago, watched S3 last week at work as well as first 5 episodes of S4. Plan to watch S4 this week/next week since it's on Netflix as of tomorrow.

Definitely enjoy this show but I'm glad I streamed multiple episodes at a time and it's not something I'd likely watch on TV but rather stream through the CW app the next day and I think that's exactly what I'm gonna do with S5.

  4. Premiere was pretty good. Loved the action in this. This season seems to be more grounded (for now) than last. I actually thought Chad Coleman was fun to watch.

Pretty promising premiere. Still has some of the same problems that it's had for the past few years, but we seem to be moving back toward more "straightforward" villains, which I like. Also, I agree that the choreography and filming of the action was very cool.

I was going to quit this show but the first two episodes of the season have convinced me to stick it out. I really like this whole reboot of the team, and finally getting to Oliver's Russia years.

Did anyone else notice some weird chemistry with Thea and Quentin? She could be his daughter, but I was getting some vibes there. Maybe it was just me. That would be too weird.

This feels more like seasons 1 and 2 than 3 and 4. Granted, I also thought last year started promisingly, so I'll withhold judgment for now. But I'm enjoying it so far.

  8. Really dig the idea of that Scarecrow-looking guy joining the team. I like the other recruits too. S5 shaping up nice. I also appreciate them keeping the flashback scenes all nice and short.

I didn't pick up on any vibes. That would be really weird, though.

It might just be because they're both so pretty (curse of the CW) and it was the first time they've really bonded.

    Might be Spider-Man...

Definitely had a season 1 and 2 vibe, which I think works best for this show. 3 and 4...well, ya know, they exist.

Just finished S3 and 4 and don't really get the hate. I think I liked those more than S2 honestly

Didn't know this got syndicated. It's on TNT right now.

  17. My friend just texted me about this. #ArrowOnTNT haha. Good for them, get those syndication checks.

  18. The action continues to be great this season. Chuckled at the Casey Jones nod. And lol at the blatant *walking away from an explosion* shot.

I'm enjoying this season a surprising amount. And the flashbacks don't suck for the first time in three years, so that's something.

It was bound to happen considering Wild Dog in the comics wears a Hockey Mask haha.

I loved that shot with the whole team walking out in costume.

    Loved Mister Terrific's costume!
I thought I read somewhere a while back that the flashbacks were no longer a thing or they are gonna start going away?

Well assuming that this isn't the last season, there won't be any more flashbacks after this year.

  22. Quantico S2 jumped a year into the future to have a year of flashbacks in between the seasons...

I'm really disliking how much Arrow was affected by Flashpoint. It's weird that the effects of it are even bigger here than on Flash, the show that's actually dealing with it.
