Oh I’m not taking Morey at his word either. The truth lies in the middle. I’m just not buying the whole “Harden was promised a big contract no matter what” theory. I think it was implied that a future extension was on the table if the team took a leap, and they haven’t

 

He also took a short term deal that gave him flexibility to go elsewhere after this past season. The sense when it was signed was that it was to keep options open for both the team and the player

 

I'd just like to be a fan of a normal basketball team.
