Finally getting around to this.

Agreed. I know this is a dorky thing to say, but there will be a glaring difference in my 2023 last.fm data for scrobbles vs actual listens I’ve given this album. I had to have run this thing back 10-15 times since last week already

 

When will it?

 

Oct 20 I believe

 

I know they are a big old hat now, but I wish there was a cd release of this as well. I like having them all as a physical copy and I don’t have a record player

 

There are a few browser extension scrobblers that work for Bandcamp if you're listening there on desktop.
For mobile "local media," I use Plexamp which scrobbles.
To backfill, I recommend Open Scrobbler.

 

Word! I’ll look into these for sure. I really don’t stream via desktop ever, just through the Bandcamp app. But I do consciously make an effort to stream songs on mute on my phone while playing the corresponding music on vinyl so that those physical spins get counted too. This Open Scrobbler thing may be an easier route for that

It has been for like a decade

 

It’s a fair question. Its not like he tours as Vacationer all that much. TSL has been on the road more often in the last 4 years.

It’s fair to say this is where the bulk of new material is going, but “full time?”

 

TSL pays the bills. Vacationer and getting to do his own thing is what he truly loves at this point. I’m all for letting him experiment as much as he wants. The music is terrific. I’m all in.

 

He hasn't toured much because of the pandemic and then when it became easier TSL nostalgia came calling and he (rightfully) cashed that check. He did a string of dates in California in early 2020. I'd imagine we will get some dates in 2024

 

Cheers. OK that's a better way to frame it ie his main music focus. Haven't kept up with his work since TSL and was curious.

Watched the documentary last weekend, it's so good, didn't expect to have performances on there, Kenny on keys, just brilliant! Also, I waited to listen to the full thing till it hit streaming due to me wanting to have it scrobbled properly hahah, don't worry. It took some patience though. Love the fact that this is indeed quite an autumn record!
