my ranking so far from greatness to great:

    more than you know
dance with me (edited out tom’s intro on my mp3)
    one more time
    edging

hot take: i’m not a fan of the overusage of jokes on their albums. i had a hard time listening to the mark tom trav show for dumb stuff that either i liked but wore itself out, or would be embarrassing if someone else was in the car with me listening.

Curious if there's anybody that hated Blame It On My Youth but loves Fell In Love, because if so BIG time side eye

Definitely having the same "let down" feelings for both songs. I remember when BIOMY was released and I was trying to hype myself up on it and it just fell flat. Same with this new song.

To be fair though, I've only listened to this new song once. We'll see how well it pairs with the album overall. It's a short and sweet fun song, just not hitting me like the others.

There are more than 10 worse blink songs released before 1997 alone.

It's the opposite for me. I love "Blame It On My Youth". The synth is so MCS-like and that chorus is gold. It's simultaneously nostalgic and forward-thinking for a blink song.

Honestly, hard to compare years of album listens and one listen, but probably about the same level to me.

Yeah they're about the same to me, definitely think I like Youth more. But it always needs the context of the album before final judgment. Not crazy about Fell but if it's the weakest full song like Jason says that's a good sign.

What if I love Blame It on My Youth but Fell In love didn’t hit it for me?

That makes sense to me lol. My point is just that the two songs aren't that much different, and people trashed Youth a lot and I wonder how much of that was just Tom bias

Not a fan of BIOMY at all but it’s definitely better than this shit

Yeah, those songs are pretty easy to compare IMO. I like both "Blame It On My Youth" and "Fell In Love", but I think BIOMY was treated a bit unfairly just because it was the lead single. It was strange way to introduce NINE whereas this song is the fifth one released from the new album. It's a little easier to digest with more context.

i already prefer "Fell in Love" over "Blame it On My Youth". I can imagine it not going well as the first single

Think I’ll sit this one out and just wait for the album at this point. I remember people hating “C’est Comme Ca” from the new Paramore album when it dropped as a single, but I didn’t hear it until the album came out and it slaps so hard

Song is fine. I don't think the verses are good but I like the pre-chorus and chorus...and also it's only two minutes. Y’all act like this is as bad as anything from Cali Deluxe, which it is not ;)

Cali-Deluxe, a few songs off Nine, Buddha, most of Neighborhoods, most of Cheshire, are all much worse than this song haha

It's in line with "Parking Lot" levels of bad. "Can't Get You More Pregnant" is worse, though.

Neighborhoods is awesome all the way through and Nine doesn't have a single bad song.
