Tbh I think I’m finally over that loss. At the end of the day our QB and OC sucked and we wouldn’t have lost if they didn’t. Sucks but that’s how you fail to win superbowls with an otherwise elite team, get good etc

the bad calls sucked a LOT… but so does not scoring ANY POINTS while you just let Tom Brady walk right back into a game you were winning by three scores

I have carried such a hatred for Hackett since that game. I tried to warn my Broncos friend how bad he is.

 

The 1999 Titans loss still hurts more cause we actually did have the offense to keep up with the Rams. Nobody is gonna believe me because they had the greatest show on turf legacy and we didn’t… but let’s just say that 2000 Jags/Rams Super Bowl woulda been very high scoring if it happened.

They had slightly better weapons (Bruce > Smith, Faulk > Taylor, Holt was still a very young player vs McCardell already being a vet and our TE Kyle Brady was better)

and Warner was clearly the better quarterback, he was the best in the league that season

but we had a better offensive line (Leon Searcy > their right tackle, and dqm prime Boselli > prime Pace)

and a much better defense that had like 5 or 6 strong playmakers

 

that was the first season i remember watching football, even though i started playing two years earlier lol

 

I saw people were talking about pro-Purdy vs anti-Purdy, I skipped 2 pages and this was at the top
