Who’s shitting on Goff though?

My take is he’s a really good quarterback, but in the past he’s been a risk to go through uncharacteristic rough patches at the absolute worst time, particularly cause he doesn’t have a lot of tricks up his sleeve when his OL is just losing the battle in the trenches. Teams that can blitz well can rattle the hell out of him even if he’s lights out the rest of the time. He’s not a Mahomes or Allen who’s just still gonna throw for 300 yards and 3 TD in your face even though you’ve been sacking them.

I’m rooting for the Lions 10/10 for sure though. Hope that doesn’t happen. They did build one of the best offensive lines in the league around him, and he has a good number of very productive games there.

 

I don't really have anything against Purdy, i just think there's a litmus test on 95% of QBs but because everyone just loves young Shanny nothing actually matters lol. Like all of the criticisms Tua for instance has faced was super dumb and yet Purdy skates by lol.

 

I 100% believe if Purdy had the exact same film and the exact same stats but he didn't wear a 49ers jersey, the love wouldn't be nearly as intense

 

I like Purdy because he was the last draft pick, third stringer, and had looked excellent so far. A fun story.

jared goff is playing very very well. you love to see it. he has also played like absolute dumpster water.

if brock purdy starts playing poorly the narrative will absolutely change. it doesnt have to be so black and white. we are always evolving and redirecting our shitposts.

 

purdy i feel like gets lifted up to a tier beyond where he actually is simply because of how crazy it is he was mr. irrelevant though. like, we can be honest. he's a decent QB! it's an insane story! we don't have to talk about him the way People Online are talking about him lol.

The only reason I’m not rooting for Miami is Tyreek Hill. I love Tua but, I mean, I didn’t watch Mahomes nearly as much when Hill was there either.

I just despise seeing that guy get praised and have a wonderful career like he didn’t get caught abusing his family like 7 times. And from what I’ve seen he’s so fucking boastful about it too almost, like he genuinely acts like some underdog who is unfairly wronged

The stats are impossible to ignore though.



He’s not just decent, he’s so far been one of the most efficient QBs in the league. Pretty wild and illustrates that, even in the modern NFL you don’t need an exceptional arm or improv skills if you make the right reads and are quick and decisive about it

Yeah, but that doesn’t mean you can just throw any QB in there and get the same results. Sure, the good QBs in the league would probably be even better on the 49ers. Definitely not most rookies / second years though and definitely not 99% of QBs drafted outside the first two rounds.

 

Eagles and Chiefs should be switched until the Chiefs get any semblance of a WR

 

I'm not gonna knock a guy because his team put together a good team and his coaches are good at coaching lol

 

It’s disrespectful imo to call a guy a “decent QB” when he’s putting up better QB ratings than, the vast majority of our teams’ QBs

 

Id agree if the Chiefs didn’t just beat the eagles in the Super Bowl with no semblance of a WR lol
