Not that it’s a bad thing just wondering if others hear any resemblance or just me.

 

I think it's a bad thing and I barely enjoy this song :/

and yes, the main riff is 100% architects

 

It kinda sounds like Architects but is actually good. (sorry their newer stuff isn't interesting to me)

 

I didn’t hear the architects in the riff until this thread but this song is better than anything’s architects have put out in a ~long~ time

 

Same for me - not until I read the post in the thread - and even after IDK really. I just wanted an excuse for a hot take!

 

it just sounds like 2020s metalcore riff….which is architects I suppose lol

 

I'm meh on this song due to that particular Architects-y sound

 

I was lukewarm on this song at first but that chorus has really wormed it's way into my head. I haven't listened to Architects since the Hollow Crown days, so maybe that's why it works for me.

Cellar Door is just bleak and filthy. I never thought we'd get another song this dark ever again.

there's something in the subtle aspects of the production that reminds me of what NIN did with their score for Quake. lots to chew on here and i love it.

 

Love that we've gotten one song with all clean vocals, one song with mixed, and one that's harsh the whole time. Seems like it's gonna be a ripper of an EP. It is interesting that it seems like Rotoscope sound isn't really being incorporated into these songs. Feel more like a continuation of Eternal Blue.

 

Is self titled darker than this one?
