Sorry if it’s already been discussed or maybe talked about earlier in the week but uh, are the Patriots the worst team in the league?

My heart probably still says the Bears, but at least they have somehow managed to score points the last few weeks and you could therapy yourself into thinking Fields is salvageable but the Patriots without their two best defensive players the rest of the way made an already bad team likely so much worse.

Maybe Denver is worse? Giants? But I feel like every other team at least has a few bright spots if used correctly. New England is just… there… getting beat to death each week now.

The nerd charts say it's the Giants. New England's offense is scale-breaking bad, though.

The Patriots and Bears are both very bad. Both have the highest amount of cap space next year. Difference is Bears are young af and Patriots are old af. BB is a good coach though and Eberflus is not.

    The Giants are also ass.

BB is gonna win the Patriots games they shouldn’t win. If Eberflus was the coach this team goes 1-15 and says hi Caleb. I’m worried Bill the coach is gonna cost them Drake Maye

Something like Patriots, Panthers, Giants, Bears, Broncos. Raiders are also up (down?) there.

Bengals would also belong in the convo if they didn't have a get right game today

Eberflus absolutely does not get a single win out of the Patriots and might actually find a way to lose 18 games

The Broncos I think are just, once again, the worst coached team in the league.

Tough to go a full season without a single win, no matter how bad of a coach you are

    Is Russ the common denominator?

Going to deep dive tomorrow during work (of course) how often / how many teams have lost back to back games by at least 30 points.

Hell, I just looked at the 2016 and 2017 Browns seasons (the 1-31 stretch) and the Browns didn’t lose any game during that span by 30+ points and the Patriots just did it twice in a row.

2008 Lions (0-16) lost two games by 30+ but they weren’t back to back.

I have never been a Payton fan in my life and Vance Joseph is also terrible but yes Russ certainly is a factor as well and the fact that everyone from Seattle is basically talking shit with no one coming to his defense is very telling.

Arizona is doing enough in games to avoid being called an embarrassment even though they're gonna win 3 games max by design.

agreed and maybe they get worse done the line and they take the top spot. If New England can at least be competitive like they were against Philly and Miami that’s at least something and gets them a few wins and they feel ok with themselves to some degree.

I mean, we all know Vance is a clown, but Payton has been praised for his offenses for well over a decade now. I get not being a fan of him, but he has VERY little to work with in Denver

I plan on looking through the Pats roster tomorrow and working up a list of players I’d even bother bringing back next year

    The rivalry is back on

    I like Eberflus

I hope it works out for him and if not would happily take him back as a defensive consultant or LB coach or whatever

What a fall from grace that would be to go from head coach to LB coach

The 90's Bengals were a testament to this. We wouldn't just lose, we would lose bad & Coslett/LeBeau would backdoor their way into some 38-10 win over an unprepared team at the end of the year out of pure luck.

An elite head coach and one of the greatest offensive minds ever never has too little to work with. Plus, part of the reason Hackett was such a huge disappointment was because the Broncos had a lot to work with.

And to clarify, I don’t think Patriots are the worst team ever, I just find it fascinating / wild that the Patriots are doing things right now that some of the worst teams in history didn’t do
