Posted this in the Phoebe Bridgers thread as well, but this comment was in that Reddit thread as well.

 

Someone shared a snippet from a legal document (regarding the Chris Nelson situation) which details Marshall in relationships with (legal) teenagers. Nothing illegal with that, but the document claims Phoebe showed issue with Marshall pursuing teenage girls/his history of dating. This seems to track with the screenshot directly above.

 

I dunno if you can blur their names, but it feels like that would be a good idea

Marshall was still dating that girl until very recently. They wrote Sidelines and Boyfriends together.

 

Kinda pissed Phoebe hasn't said anything yet, she has enough good people around her to talk some sense into her

 

Not really sure it’s much of a surprise Phoebe would be silent about one of her friends lol, wouldn’t say she’s been the most consistent in that department

 

Yeah i hate to say it but almost expect to be disappointed by her in this situation.

 

Not my place to speak too much and not necessarily speaking about this situation specifically but it always creeps me out when people/places who serve as safe spaces or advocates clam up or, worse, protect abusers when the abuser is someone they’re personally cool with or wrapped up with business wise. It happens too often and I feel really bad for people who expect those spaces/people will support them and then get blindsided when they don’t support them. The end.

 

Phoebe has an awful track record of the people she surrounds herself with and the situations she puts herself in. So, don’t expect much here.

 

probably not the best metric to go off of, but at least judging by her IG follows, she still associates with Noah Gundersen, so that definitely says something

He's been accused of sexual assault. There's more information in his thread (and likely this one if you name search).

I don't really have any skin in the game re: Phoebe, but I once again feel like IG follows may not be the best insight into who someone supports. especially if they follow a lot of people.

I wonder how much she's even seen - I'm surprised this hasn't broken a bit more mainstream yet.

 

respectfully, please stop with that. all you need to do is search marshall vore on twitter and theres plenty of fans tagging both her and him about addressing the allegations, and plenty of folks already in both hers and BGs instagram comments asking her to address it. she knows about it. the odds that not even 1 person either in her camp or close to her have not seen this are 0.

Does she care and does she care enough to kick her rapist drummer out of both the bands he's in and she's affiliated with, is the question. You would hope so.

This is also an issue I would imagine but like... tarnishing the PB live band and Boygenius live band reputation like this would mean he has to go, at the very least while an investigation is conducted?

 

Remember that in the Chris Nelson court document Phoebe expressed concern over Marshall dating barely legal teenagers, so I wouldn’t go the “does she know?” angle.

 

Marshall doesn’t even drum for Boygenius shows anymore and Phoebe doesn’t have solo dates announced as far as I’m aware. This isn’t that complicated
