Some wrestlers have a “belong on Impact” vibe to them and that’s how I feel about the Hardys now.

I don't really want Edge and Christian or the Hardyz

AEW uses legends at their best when its done to prop up other talent: Darby with Sting, Christian with Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus and now Nick Wayne, Jericho with Sammy, Punk when he was actually lifting younger stars up instead of letting his Ego get in the way...

The Edge/Christian feud should be fun and if they wanna at some point make up, make out, and tag as part of some multi team match I that could still be fun as long as the focus of the match is on other folks.

 

i respect that but again, Edge & Christian barely ever actually teamed, it's a rare chance to revisit something intensely nostalgic that still has most of the meat left on the bone and they'd be crazy not to have all the fun they want with it

 

Not saying I don't want to see them tag again but 185 televised tag matches = barely teamed?

 

But maybe because I grew up in the Attitude Era and it felt longer than it probably was.

 

They haven’t been a tag team since 2001 and only had a 2 1/2 year run as a team.

 

it was less than three years, the attitude era gave tv matches no time, and they were a fraction of the performers they are today. i would say in terms of legendary tag teams, they may be the least prolific

 

All their PPV matches together (Ladders, TLC especially) live rent free in my head. Just will always remember them vividly when I think of iconic wrestling matches of my childhood.

 

They are also better as singles guys as WWE quickly figured out. Dudleyz only worked as a team and to a lesser extent the Hardyz as well outside of a couple cool singles runs from each.

 

I haven’t been into babyface Edge, but Christian gives him more to work with than most of his late WWE run. Im not sure if they had a real feud even when Christian turned on him. It’s also one of the few WWE-only guys who made the jump and still wants to wrestle every week.

 

I’ll shit in my hands and clap if we don’t see E&C get a tag title run in AEW at some point once they get through a feud with each other.

 

Watching the scrum, Christian is HILARIOUS

 

I completely forgot about Wrestledream. How was Bryan/ZSJ?

I'm not the biggest on technical matches and this match fucked. No crappy chain wrestling. These two are perfect dance partners.

 

I usually don't like technical grappling shit, but this match was super fun to watch.
