Anthem 2 wins that battle. I was super hesitant to know it was the opener for this tour and after hearing it live like that, it works flawlessly.

 

Anthem Part 2 is easily the better Anthem

 

Pop Disaster Tour opener. It ruled then and it rules now too.

 

I do think Dumpweed is a slightly better opener, but I like Anthem Part 2 as a song more. Still rocked back in May though.

 

Anthem will always be my favorite. The opening to II, though, is killer. But the rest of the song just pales in comparison. Especially the bridge. The “I time bomb” with the “oooo”s is fucking fantastic.

 

Travis goes hard as fuck on Anthem.

 

Man does anyone else wish One More Time used less auto tune? I still love it but idk Tom is sounding so much better live these days that I have a hard time thinking it's THAT much more necessary than their past releases

 

Doesn’t he use pitch correction live? I’m going to assume they used as much as they did for a reason. I do find it jarring in the first verse but then I no longer notice.

 

Yeah that's true, he does, but even then I don't think it's as over the top as this. Yeah it doesn't ruin the song for me or anything, I still love it

 

I mean, if Adam Lazzara can be auto tuned without it being super obvious, the same is definitely possible with Tom Delonge lol

 

It's very obvious on the new TBS album though? On both singers. (And Tom's definitely using it live, it's noticeable to the point of becoming a meme.)
