That’s sick as hell honestly. Not a U2 fan but I’d love to see someone else there one day

Apparently Harry Styles will be doing a residency there next year? Thought I saw that on twitter

I had no clue that’s a music venue lol. I did see in it person when I was in Vegas last week and couldn’t figure out why they decided to build it

Feel like Rush would have done a sick show in the Sphere

He has a serious back injury, which is why he wasn’t playing guitar and using a cane. The set on Wednesday was a stripped down, acoustic set which was pretty amazing. The Lawn was closed off for my date as well, I’d say they drew 5-6K, which isn’t awful for a weeknight. The seated awful was mostly full. It was a super fun show even though I felt bad for TGUK because hardly any of the crowd was paying attention to their set.

Who’s filling in on guitar with MCS currently? I know that had what’s-his-name from AAR filling in a couple months back. Is he doing it again? Or someone else?

he might go back to it eventually, but he has had some real back back issues and had back surgery.

they're selling $20 GA/Pit tickets for that show here in a 1500 cap

I can’t believe how much prices dropped for that show. 100 level tickets that were premium for $250 or $110 when they went on sale all dropped to $45 along with pit tickets. I ended up sneaking to the 100 level from my shitty 200 level seat and had a blast. Staff were only checking pit tickets and half way through NFG’s set one of the staff asked me if I wanted to go in the pit because it was only half full lol

I’d be surprised if AAR could make this a yearly thing at sheds like a lot of these shows were. I know the Seattle show got moved down to a 7K venue and didn’t sell out. I highly doubt LN is going to invest in tours like this and Sad Summer for much longer, but I could be wrong. It seems like the only tour that did well was the Yellowcard tour but a lot of those venues were 7-8K so it made more sense.

Putting AAR/NFG in a 18-20K venue is an odd choice. If they did it again though, I’d go in a heart beat. I loved the venue having plenty of space and all of the support bands were super fun. I didn’t stay for AAR since it was a weeknight. If this tour happened again I assume a different band would headline instead of AAR because them headlining again would lead to diminishing returns.

  23. Probably not in the cards for me to get to Vegas this year. I’d really like to see the U2 show though.

As far as other artists, I don’t know if he’s Vegas big, but Porter Robinson in the sphere would be wild.

  24. No way I’d survive a sphere concert without a panic attack

The two bands that jumped out for me that should play in the sphere are Tame Impala and Coldplay.
