I work with these kinds of people every damn day. I'll often get copy feedback that begins "I ran your script through ChatGPT and asked how it can be rewritten to increase engagement" and it just spits out the most cliche-ridden, LinkedInfluencer garbage. I work in advertising, which is NOT art, but the degree to which people treat creative work as a series of levers that can be pulled at will, at any stage of the process, is exhausting.
