I'm embarassed by my repeat listening, so I switched back to headphones.

To think OMT isn't a good single, you're nuts. It's insanely relatable to anyone.
MTYK is fuckin unexpected with it's twists and blows me away.

I'm definitely in the camp of "how many plays before the full album is too much?"

Just hope the album doesn't peak here.

 

Finally listened to both. I def prefer One More Time. They really went for the emotional jugular with that video and the montage at the end. Goddamn.

Also yes love hearing the little bit of Travis vocals we get here. Very cool.

 

I wish the verses sounded better because I fucking love the chorus to OMT.

One More Time is probably one of their saddest songs to date and I'm so here for it.
Also, totally clever that they release-bundled it with the upbeat banger that is More Than You Know!

 

These songs are amazing. OMT is test jerking and so heart warming. MTYK is a banger. LFG!!

 

I just want to know how Tom made his electric guitar sound like an acoustic guitar in the vid. Sweet effect!

 

The verses are great! Especially the second verse.

 

It is a deeply personal song for that band that is super resonant to the folks in it for the long haul. lol still going to be plenty of "Thanks I Hate It" from that crowd. I think that's why they dropped both songs today. In the context of the album I have no doubt it will hit so hard, and live it will be an undisputed tear-jerker.

Does anyone else hear the volume dip at the 24 second mark of MTYK on YouTube? It sounds like ducking almost.

 

I absolutely loved the OMT video and the song was great too. The third verse was chef's kiss.

MTYK was also great, but for different reasons. I'm sure they decided to release this in addition to OMT given that OMT is an acoustic song and maybe not expected as the next lead single.

All in all, it feels so great to have these guys back. I will love this band forever. There are few things in this world that can make me feel they way they do. I had chills and tears the whole time. I can't wait for more.

 

ya it sounds blown out like they dropped the track into the edit timeline and didn't lower it -7db until then. Definitely noticed it.
