I gotta say looking for a job right now sucks. Got ghosted in the middle of the interview process by two separate companies last week. It’s like they got together to fuck with me

 

Friends I'm going with might have extra tickets. I can ask if you'd wanna make the drive

 

I feel your pain. The market is ass right now. Been looking for about 3-4 months and only had 2 interviews out of hundreds of applications. I did mention a few weeks back that my boss is retiring and I may finally have some clarity tomorrow on what that means for me. He was one of the biggest reasons I wanted to leave so we’ll see what happens

Not sure if this was posted already. fighting over a football game is so stupid and it happens every week. Imagine killing someone or dying because you thought it was a fumble or whatever

 

I will sometimes randomly listen to team/specific podcasts just to see how upset or delusional certain fan bases are and I just started listening to the “Locked on Raiders” podcast (side note - seems like every team has a podcast by this name?) and the host is talking about his son who died in 2020 and how his birthday is today and how he wanted his 21st birthday party in Vegas so he was gonna dedicated the game to his son because it was close to his birthday and WHAT. Like, this dude isn’t emotional talking about his dead son and this just seems like the most bizarre fucking way to start a podcast about a football game.

 

What day is it? If I’m free I’d love to see that with you in Philly.

Finally wrapping up the RDR port...deeply mad at Rockstar for not just rebuilding the game in the RDR2 engine...its like, 95% the same places, the character models would be way better, and it'd have probably taken them less time in the process.

That said, give me RDR3 where I play as every character who gets screwed by the gov't/society. I play as Charles Smith trying to fight off the reservations. Sadie Adler pissed at the law that couldnt protect us. And finally as Jack Marston as like, a politician with an ACAB motto.

 

Its actually my favorite part of the "comedians who interview everyone" genre of podcasts...especially WTF...where Maron just goes on an insane rant for 8-10 minutes about how a bit about how society is doomed didnt work and thats why society is doomed...and today in the garage, we have Demi Lovato!
