Wouldn’t be a bad pick. Deadpool 3 is rumored to heavily tie into Secret Wars. If most of the ensemble cast returns then Levy directing seems logical. The success and feedback from Deadpool 3 might be the deciding factor.

The group dynamic in his Stranger Things episodes are also great.

 

Also, deuxmoi is easily in top 10 worst Reddit communities

Levy seems like one of those directors that is decent, but is also very willing to play ball with a studio like Marvel.

 

Imagine 75% of those but in a very self pretentious sub full of people who have to eat gossip 24/7 and let everyone know exactly how they feel.

 

Which might be what is needed for Secret Wars due to how ambitious it is. Infinity War was digested to the point that each character was predetermined who they would interact with. The writers then worked in weaving all of those interactions together.

 

Levy seems like such a "safe director" choice. I know he's Reynold's guy now, but Adam Project and Free Guy were pretty forgettable. Makes sense for Marvel though since they've had mixed results with the more auteur/idiosyncratic directors recently. Eternals, L&T, and MoM got pretty mixed reactions.

 

I feel like the mixed reactions were because of the writing of those movies and not necessarily the directing.

 

The writing post-Endgame has been downhill (with 2 or 3 exceptions) imo

Really glad we’re having to wait years after their introductions to see Shang-Chi, Kate Bishop, Moon Knight and others actually interact so we can have a celebration for non-MCU characters in a tentpole/saga-ending MCU film.

Marvel dropped the ball big time. The multiverse stuff is cool for a few movies, but not over a 6 year time span.

MTTS is correct the vast majority of the time and she has defended some of her incorrect statements as actual ideas that were discussed but not used.

Leaked concept art showed her to be honest. Of all the “leakers” I would go with MTTS.

 

Ehh nothing she’s said for awhile can be corroborated since we have nothing being released and her claims on that page and her other page, CanWeGetSomeToast, since the strikes started have gotten more and more ridiculous. I think her credibility will be shot once these movies are actually released and someone goes back to fact check her
