Last time he was on TV, WWE like, doubled their ratings.

That said, they built the entire Rumble around The Rock winning it last year...had everything set up (someone on Reddit even pointed out they had RAW/SD in XFL cities leading up to Mania, etc)...and then The Rock remembered he's never wrestling again.

The idea that he's gonna be free for WM40 when there's both a writers and actors strike thats gonna end before then, and every production is gonna be running 150%, is pretty laughable.

 

One of McAfee's boys says Pat and Mr. Johnson will be at Smackdown tonight

 

Rock/Roman won’t happen. If the strike ends anytime soon you know studios are going to be hammering to hurry and film and his schedule is gonna get busy fast

I decided to flick on SD and man I can’t believe how good AJ is still

 

I kind of enjoy how every wrestler turned actor has the same look right down to the sunglasses brand.

I just watched the first episode of Lucha Underground. I’m about to go on a wonderful adventure.

 

Obviously a big part of it is John not being a full time wrestler anymore so of course he has slimmed down and looks different, but weirdly Cena looks so old and almost ill even though he’s healthier and in better shape than 99% of the world lol

and the bald spot just keeps getting worse

 

AJ and Cena teaming up feels right.

 

I haven’t been keeping up with the E in forever and just caught the last 2 minutes and am so lost. Grayson Waller, Cena, Uso, Styles, Solo. What in the world lol and one after another after another gave me WCW vibes with so many people crammed into a small segment

 

I think I lose track of who the faces and heels are on SmackDown every week.

 

I personally don’t want to see The Rock ever wrestle again - for his own safety and just for the sake of not having to watch a bad/awkward match (whether with Roman or someone else) but with the strike going on you could definitely spin it as “The Rock has now had all this time to get back in shape and shake off some ring rust since he’s not busy filming movies”.

And I get that Vince doesn’t think more than 5 minutes ahead, but bringing him back tonight I think is a huge mistake. Ratings boost yeah, but like, why bother having him back. The audience will bitch to high heaven if he doesn’t have a match. Even if he ends up being the special guest ref or something I don’t think the casuals/audience will be ok with that.
