I just want to know if there are any darker songs or themes similar to Untitled, 6/8, Black Rain, No Heart.

I'd love some faster stuff like Hearts All Gone, Dogs Eating Dogs, Natives, etc

There's at least one song in those previews (that people seem to claim is Anthem Pt. 3) that is a double-time punk beat, so I'm excited about that.

blink has only done a very small handful those since TOYPAJ ("Generational Divide", "Quarantine", "Cynical", "Can't Get You More Pregnant", parts of "Brohemian Rhapsody" and "Parking Lot") and obviously none of those were even with Tom.

 

I'm not convinced Jason has heard the record. The rumors are stating they're being super cautious about even letting people hear the next single right now...Maybe Jason will take this bait and confirm or deny if he has heard anything other than EDGING.

 

also, hear me out, people should form their own opinions when they can hear the songs. as what Jason or me or anyone else wants from a new blink album will be different.

Spotify changed the "canvases" (repeating video clip while song plays) on mobile for EDGING and a few other songs to the new smiley. Some have the pink logo on white others the white logo on pink.

 

I totally agree. When Tom does it, for whatever reason, it is more integrated IMO. Like Wishing Well is a very poppy earworm chorus, but it is in the style of "Nursery Rhymes on speed" as Tom says. Even in that EDM paper-thin one-off song it felt like a pop-punk singer doing a feature.

 

I found a BCR fan account on Instagram last night and I was shocked at how bad the live shows sounded. Seemed like he just wanted to be angry and loud for a bit. On my TOYPAJ listen I was thinking "No wonder dude had an identity crisis and made BCR" All of his lyrics are about being a nervous boy going to prom but he was in his mid-20s.

Would have loved a recorded version of this one. the chorus rips.

 

I wonder if blink was in the room with Zane or if it's a weezer remote situation. Doubt they were in the same room.

Doesn't Zane also have a studio in LA? That's where his radio program operates from im pretty sure?

 

Yeah I'm pretty certain Zane does all his interviews now in his LA studio. They either taped the interview before they left for the EU tour, or they're doing it via video call.

I know typically Blink interviews were just Mark & Tom, but considering Travis produced the album I would definitely love to see him sit in on these interviews.
