Wow, I had NO idea this was coming. Decently optimistic for it, Cruel Country was pretty close to the elite Wilco albums for me.

Listening to Star Wars right now. Fairly low on my Wilco rankings, and honestly I just don't really think the songs are there (shout out to the Clairo thread), but goddamn is the production on it insanely good. The songs that hit really really hit

I haven't liked Wilco in a long, long time. Maybe I'll go through a deep dive since I've just briefly gone over some of their recent stuff. I'll probably find a few things I like.

 

been slowly working my way through this band's discog over the last week or so. encountered a slight problem where I just constantly want to listen to summerteeth instead of listening to the ones I haven't heard yet. I'm kinda obsessed

 

just simply one of the best bands with a flawless discog

on The Whole Love now, the opener on this album absolutely fucks. what a tune

(wasn't huge on s/t but it's the only album I know of that has Leslie Feist and Neil Finn on the same album, and therefore gets automatic points from me)

 

the solo there's sends me to a different plane of existence every time

 

Nels Cline is an absolute monster on the guitar
