Yeah but did you know there are Ukrainian nationalists? Seems like equal problems that mean we should probably just be chill about Russian control of those parts of Ukraine.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2023/09/13/us/politics/russia-sanctions-missile-production.html

Before the war, one senior Western defense official said, Russia could make 100 tanks a year; now they are producing 200.

Western officials also believe Russia is on track to manufacture two million artillery shells a year — double the amount Western intelligence services had initially estimated Russia could manufacture before the war.

As a result of the push, Russia is now producing more ammunition than the United States and Europe. Overall, Kusti Salm, a senior Estonian defense ministry official, estimated that Russia’s current ammunition production is seven times greater than that of the West.

Russia’s production costs are also far lower than the West’s, in part because Moscow is sacrificing safety and quality in its effort to build weapons more cheaply, Mr. Salm said. For instance, it costs a Western country $5,000 to $6,000 to make a 155-millimeter artillery round, whereas it costs Russia about $600 to produce a comparable 152-millimeter artillery shell, he said.

If Ukraine is able to follow through on this breakthrough, make it to the Sea of Azov, and cut off Crimea from the east, how long will Russians in Crimea be able to hold out before it collapses?

I’m curious, you spreading ruzzian bs for free? Or…?

The video I attached is December 2021, from Mariupol.

Two month before a full scaled war.

The major of the city shares happy new year greetings, and he’s speaking… Russian language.

Once again. On a national television, a public person, —a mayor, to be specific— is speaking freely in Russian. The hosts however speak Ukrainian. No problem at all.

    Nobody cared.

You know why? Because the “oppression of ethnic russians of donbas” is bullshit.

What a disgrace to live in a world where not bolding old know-it-alls spread political lies, but young generation of westerns support this bs… When it literally requires a 10-15 minutes google search to understand who is who.

I’d like to hear you take on Mariupol (which was liberated from ruzzian occupiers in 2014) and its mayor speaking Russian in a “nazi-controlled city”. How’s that possible?

To be even more specific, here’s my Russian-language project: https://ru.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Раёк_(группа)#

Some Russian guy added us to wiki btw

    This project - Rayok
    - was 100% russian culture project, backed and promoted by opposition russian radio / tv (TV Rain, Meduza, RTVI) and MTV Russia.

Yes, back in a day I thought “not all russians are rooting for putin, Eussia is cool, it’s putin who’s bad, and also russian language is my first language, and it’s a common thing for 50% of Ukrainians, so that’s ok”. And it was ok that way. We were loved both in Kyiv AND Moscow. No nazis, no problems, nothing.

We had shows all across Ukraine without ANY problems.

Here’s the pic of one of our last shows, Kyiv. Sept 2021 if i’m not mistaken.

The crowd is signing our russian songs with us. It was also filmed and aired live on some Ukrainian TV channel.

I have pics from all major Ukrainian cities with tons of people singing along in Russian.

Because NOBODY gave a flying duck about language or ethnicity. It’s fucking 2021, what are you talking about? We were laughing at ru-propaganda, because cmon, who’s even watching and believes that?

But now thanks to putin AND his
large number of supporters I have no band, no dream, and actually a problem with an identity - I was a russian speaking person, who
knew a lot about ruzzian culture and relied on it. Sure thing I know Ukrainian
culture and literature and everything, but due to my parents russian was my “mother language” (dunno if it’s a proper phrase to describe it but i hope you get the point)

So, then… it was all fucked forever.

Important note: my so called “problems” — they are NOTHING comparing to kidnapping, s**ual abuse, tortures and deaths brought to my country.

Now I do NOT speak russian, do NOT listen
to russian bands (many of them cowardly approved the war), do NOT read russian writers (except for Sorokin, he saw it all coming in 2002, and moved to Berlin), do NOT talk to my almost all of relatives in Moscow and Sochi.

You gotta understand that Ukraine was competely a-ok with a russian language on its national TV, russian monuments etc etc before 24/02/22

But guess what? It’s time to save ourselves

We were betrayed, we were cursed with “nazi country” unfair accusations, we were killed and tortured on a ducking daily basis

So please, could you do your homework before telling me about “oppression of russian language”. Because even now ppl are talking in russian and it’s competely fine. What changed is TV/radio/cultural context: Rayok won’t be able to perform in russian now, and i’m competely fine with it.

if you want I can call you through a facetime and show what would happen if I come to a random person and talk to them in russian. Spoiler: nothing.

So please shut up about ruzzian oppression
