The Rolling Stone interview with Mark and Travis after the 2nd break up was pretty hard hitting too.

 

Was blink-182online and 182online different forums at some point or always the same? I used to frequent one of them for years (over a decade ago) and I'm shocked that forum is still active lol

 

I remember frequenting one of those fan forums on a daily basis back during the leadup for Neighborhoods. Everyone was so hyped for that album and checking for updates 24/7 (sounds familiar).

Then funny enough, I woke up one morning to find (probably on AP.net) that Neighborhoods had leaked, and when I went to check that site, it was a ghost town. It was like everyone just decided to take ONE DAY off of checking for updates on the day it happened to leak.

 

They were always different. 182online was my go-to from about 2009 to 2014, but it pretty much died after the last breakup, with very limited conversation on California and was then closed. Came across chorus in the lead up to California thankfully.

 

I remember the morning Neighborhoods leaked and as I was reading the post ... my ride to school showed up in my driveway. What a long god damn day that was.

Yep that was def the one I was on!

 

I wonder if/when we will start getting interviews/reviews/press stuff for the new album. Probably a week or two before it's out? Or will interviews start happening as soon as the album is officially announced in the next coming "weeks (days)"?

 

I woke up and downloaded it immediately. The only speaker I had at my house was a keyboard amp (basically a PA) so I blasted it out of that at 9 AM. haha.

I was also in art school at the time so I spent like three hours that night painting and listening to Neighborhoods. What a strange time.

 

For whatever reason I have only been in the mood to listen to NINE all week. Runaway is my favorite Skiba era song. I know there are better options, but there’s something about the intro, the huge chorus, the weird harmonies, and the back and forth between matt and mark.

PTG was an early standout for me, I wish matt’s verses were stronger. It is one of Marks best songs in a minute.

I was a mod/admin and helped with a lot with 182online. There were good people there, a bit smaller than other sites but we tried to be a bit less hype-y.
