I imagine the Olivia Rodrigo timeline is something like this:

Mon - dates announced, verified sign up
Wed - verified sign up closed
Fri @ noon - on sale
Fri @ 12:02 - internet meltdown

 

I think the timeline would be a little longer for signup. 6 or 7 days

 

Yeah put Fri on sale and meltdown a week later.

 

The real winner in all of these crazy on-sales has been Klarna…the amount of people I’ve seen using this service to finance Ticketmaster purchases is insane. Interest rates are like 23.5% on these purchases.

 

Not sure if this belongs here but since there’s not another thread specifically for the tour…

Went to the Head Automatica/Foxy Shazam tour yesterday and it was very weird. They’d originally booked the Crystal Ballroom (1,000 capacity) and a week prior moved the show to the Wonder Ballroom (775 capacity). The show probably drew around 300 people, it was sad.

Show was at 8 and the set times all over the venue listed Foxy Shazam playing from 8-845 and then Head Automatica at 915 onwards.

Foxy only had a handful of people who seemed to know or care about them at the start but did phenomenal as always and by the time they stopped they had a big merch line. They won a lot of people over but they ended at 8:38, and probably started 1-2min late. Very weird that they didn’t use nearly all their time and plenty of the audience was yelling for more songs. Foxy only played 1 song off their most recent 3 albums IIRC, most everything they played was off “Introducing…”

After 37min of waiting, Head Automatica came on and sounded very OK (the venue sound is hardly great as is). I had to jump as we have a new puppy but they seemingly played their same setlist from sad summer fest, as they were 6 for 6 on playing that by the time we left.

All said, assuming they played the exact same setlist, they would’ve only played 40-45min as the headliner, thus also maybe why Foxy cut their set short as to not play longer than the headliner. Either way, a weird show where even the HA crowd didn’t seem too hyped past a few people. Definitely lots of glassjaw shirts.

 

Okay, minus the fact that there are certain artists on here who 100% do not deserve to be as big as they are, I'm pretty sure this lineup has the most women on it compared to all the big, huge festivals.

 

Olivia dates are coming Wednesday. I know of a couple midwest dates for mid-March.

I think I’ve heard that some issue with Paycom in okc (maybe layout? Age?) makes artists skip it and go to Tulsa instead

I always assumed that since it’s really just the Oilers in BOK vs the Thunder in paycom that it’s just easier to book. I know some artists use BOK to do rehearsals with their stages and whatnot cause it’s an arena that’s easier to be in for an extended period.
