I mean, yeah, it’s extremely likely that the Niners make the playoffs. They’re the betting favorites to win their division. I’m just saying I wouldn’t be surprised if they missed it. They’ve missed the playoffs in three of their six seasons with Shanahan. One of them was his first year with a dogshit roster and the other two were largely due to injuries. They dealt with a lot of injuries in 2021 too and snuck in as a wild card.

This team is almost always banged up at critical positions. Not only is Purdy a question mark, but Kittle is entering the season with another groin injury and might not play week 1!
