First /=/ lead. I'm talking the big single to push the album. Lead it's release. Those were both tastes of new music while music was still being worked on. Once the albums are wrapped up and the label starts the push is when the lead singles come out imo when you are seperated by such a gulf. I guess Ive always just thought of it differently. I don't associate Rebel Girl with Lifeforms at all and I don't rmemeber them advertising it for the album either because of how old it was lol. Same with Edging, I'm so over that song now it's a shame it's taking up a slot on the album.

They launched pre-orders for the album with it. In 5 years, when people think about this album, they'll associate EDGING with it. I guarantee that.

 

There's gonna be a hype sticker on the CD's in stores that says "Includes VMA nominated 'EDGING'" or something along those lines

 

Are we sure this album isn’t just the friends we made along the way?

 

EDGING is monster of the single to me personally.

Feeling This/Edging are def my two favorites.

 

The lead single was More Than You’ll Ever Know which has now been erased from history.

 

I agree with that logic in thinking about BIOMY, they definitely pivoted away from pretty quickly after it came out and fans didn't love it. Edging got a huge crowd pop, was on radio for weeks, is up for an award, and was welcomed big time as a live song. I think Edginig will be seen as the big lead single, and whatever comes next will be like the Feeling This I Miss You releases. Both monumental and associated with that record.

I really hope the song is out Tuesday. I’m not holding my breath, but I’m off Tuesday and then the rest of the week is going to be so crazy at work I’m worried it’ll take too much effort to sneak away and listen to a new Blink song a few times in a row.

After We Don't Need to Whisper I never listened to another AVA album, so when it came to ranking the other AVA albums I just picked whatever.

 

if it does come out on Tuesday during the day, i wonder how likely it'd be they play it that same night too. experiencing a new song for the first time at the show could be cool. that's if i manage to get to the show starting without hearing someone playing it over their phone speakers behind me somewhere beforehand lol.
