+44 surprisingly seems to be a polarizing album. +44 gets the edge over BCR only in Mid February for me. It feels like a throws of Winter album for me.

It is time to rank the discography song by song!!!!

 

I'm starting to see a trend in multiple threads where you go to bat for the more accessible musical/straightfowrward picks rather than the more experimental picks. Which of course is totally fine, but it's a pretty stark contrast between what the two of us like.

 

The quiet/loud dynamics, guitar tones/overall production, the massive guitar riffs, and the experimental Travis drumming are all the things that keep me coming back to that BCR album all these years later. I couldn't tell you what half the lyrics are. but i'll accept your opinion.

 

BCR isn't experimental. It's three chords after Tom discovered drop D.

 

155 is more "experimental" than anything on that BCR album.

 

Some day I will properly learn how to play 155 on the drums lol. That hi hat part, tho.

I struggled with where to put TMTATS because I like the songs on there more than Nine/California, but I already put those songs up high in my ranking once.
