I really enjoy the various English leagues playing each other in these cup matches

I always look forward to these games on FIFA so I can put 10 past Salford or whoever with Liverpool

  3. This rotated midfield stinks. No movement.

  4. Lo Celso, Skipp, Hojbjerg are probably all fine to individually rotate into the lineup. But starting all 3 together should never happen again.

  5. Better be some halftime subs coming or we're losing today

    It's all hell.

Genuinely surprised Haaland didn't run away with this, but goddamn do I love Saka.

  9. Tete's shoe broke and he needed a new one. Fulham staff had nothing for him. So he had to run off the field and into the dressing room himself to get one. While he was gone Perisic made a run down his side and put in a perfect cross for a tying goal.

I think they should make a rule that you can’t win both in the same year, but super happy Saka didn’t need that. Starboy!

Richy scored, was onside, and didn’t take his shirt off?

    it’s a miracle.

  12. Ref has been pretty terrible today

Why on earth did they not play a full strength side lol?

It’s three games into the season, you’re playing a good PL team, and it’s your best chance to win a trophy.

Feels like a missed opportunity for Spurs.

Spurs being knocked out of contention for a trophy in August is funny

Genuinely baffled by today. We have no European competition. You’re learning a new system. Why not play more of your starters?

and then how in the hell is Sanchez your third taker? This one is going to piss me off for a while.

  21. That game felt like last year's team trying to play like this year's team and it was so clunky the entire time.

Ange deserves some blame. Not sure why we rotated 9 players and expected results. Like I said before, that midfield can be rotated individually, but you can't have all 3 out there together. It was a disaster. The whole system is about building from the back and breaking the press and that midfield is 100% incapable of that.

The most infuriating part of the game was Sanchez taking the penalty though. When I saw him walking up I knew it was over haha truly baffling

  22. Another criticism for Ange today was not making the subs at half-time. It was painfully obvious the lineup was shit. We needed to make a change. Well, we did. But it was our 19 year old academy striker coming on.....wtf is that??

  23. Triple post and then I'm done...

I'm in the minority that doesn't hold this cup competition in high regard. I'm ok with prioritizing other matches over a League Cup game. However, as pointed out above, we're very early into the season. There isn't a lot to juggle right now. Rotating 9 players was not necessary at all.

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

No. The Leagues Cup is just as important as the FA Cup. (at least thats what Pep has told me)

Always said that it should be strictly for teams not in European competition, to give it a point of difference.

I guess that wouldn’t be too popular with sponsors though.
