I'm really not gonna be surprised if they sneak both Zappe and Malik onto the practice squad. I mean, Malik's getting there and if someone else wants to claim him oh well. The Zappe thing is...odd, but also, whatever. I bet they wanna get some people on IR and then re-sign him.

 

yeah, I'm just saying he was so bad it can't all be blamed on the line. though the OL depth in NE is VERY bad at the moment (as it is for most of the AFC East tbh)

I was pro Colt McCoy but read some concerning things about how shot his arm appeared to be this camp so perhaps not

 

I think it's gonna end up being Zappe as the backup. They prob feel confident no one will claim him because he sucked ass. So they cut him, frees up a spot for an IR candidate without having to cut someone they have more significant plans for

 

I agree with you, though I am fascinated to wonder what the back up plan is in the unlikely event he gets claimed
