Him reffing the main event of the largest show in history is where he deserved to be. I fucking adore that man.

 

8 years ago i was making vodka lemonades on Saturday afternoons to watch half this roster do dumb shit on the most recent PWG DVD. i know i have no actual connection to these people but idk if the goodfeels that come with seeing people like Trent and Chuck get their flowers will ever lose steam

 

we are thinking of going to London for the first time next year, maybe I can convince my wife that we should go in late August...

 

been in and out recently on wrestling, more out, but i'm definitely back in on weekly shows for a little while, ppv was the shot i needed to get invested again

gonna go back and catch up on all mjf/cole stuff in full asap at least

 

someone on reddit linked the Chuck Taylor AMA from 7 or 8 years ago where he basically said "at what point do I just stop doing this bullshit, no one wants me" and look at him now

everyone owes it to themselves to go to 58:30 on the scrum and watch Tony's reaction to MJF singling out a certain someone in the crowd as "Tits McGee" lmao

 

Main event was the most entertaining match of the night. Bucks/FTR was technically the best match wrestling wise.

 

I like at the end of the main event they did the fake out doubleturn. I still think we are getting a double turn and someone will be at the head of the New Kingdom or whatever at the end of this, but they are going the slow burn route which I like.

Also I really really hope it ends with Cole/Roddy/KOR/Taven/Bennett/Maria and they call themselves The Undisputed Kingdom.

 

I keep seeing an ad on my Roku TV for a roku original doc about the NFL Draft, and TK 's face is featured predominantly on it.

 

I'm good with them dragging the friendship angle out. It's the most popular thing in the company right now and one month isn't a long time for the turn to be completely devastating when it happens.

Punk do or say anymore stupid shit yet?

 

Drag it out as long as possible because you know once MJF/Cole is done it is going to be whoever comes out of that with the title against Punk for unification match angle. Savor this while you can.

 

With Full Gear coming to LA in November, The Iron Claw coming out in December, and A24 being one of the companies actors might be able to do press for because they are not AMPTP, I fully expect MJF to go fully "Hollywood Max" during that time and mention he is in that movie as much as humanly possible.

I hope we get Efron and JAW at Full Gear.

 

I like Nigel but his commentary style reminds me of like a British Corey Graves.

 

You have to drag it out to Full Gear at the earliest imo. They've done well at keeping things fresh & keeping you guessing at who is going to turn, so no sense in messing with something the fans love.

 

Man, if there is one thing I hate about wrestling commentary it's the color guy always needing to play the heel. I'm okay with them leaning in that direction but when you start yelling every five seconds & ignoring shit happening right in front of you it gets old fast. Taz is the only one who does it well right now. Nigel was better with Ricobanni because they went back-and-forth.

I think the endpoint of all of this is MJF at the end of 2023 without the title, hugely over babyface, coming off a major title run, big shine from appearing in a prestigious film at right as his contract ends. He is going to be in the best position possible for whatever he does after that.

 

I hope Punk does quit lol. I’d start watching again
