The AVA album he mentioned last year was for sure a cover for blink.

 

The live AvA album was probably just that live session they did that turned out awesome in its own right. It highlighted Toms modern use of pitch correction and it being not a bad thing.

I think I listen to these versions more than the album versions sometimes.

 

The movie is almost certainly out of his control at this point.

 

I mean, maybe the distributor is waiting until after the new Blink record is released, when Blink fever is at its highest.

2023 seems to be the year of expert producers on the internet. Over/under how many posts will be made about the production on the day we get a new song?

I know I’m late and now that we’re getting some crumbs we’ve definitely moved on, but is it weird that I never really considered The Offspring or Green Day as part of this “scene”? Like I know a lot of the bands grew up going to those bands shows and got a lot of inspiration from them and etc, but I def always separated them out from what I often think of when I hear “the scene”, aka what’s often referred to as “3rd wave emo”.

Blink too a little bit for that matter, but they’re much much more a part of it than those other two, especially once self-titled came out

 

If I had to guess, single and announcement on September 1 and then about month for the album. It doesn’t feel like Blink, but it does seem like there’s going to be a quick turnaround.

I mean Green Day took out a lot of the scene bands when touring American Idiot. While they had like 6 albums pre scene, I think both AI and 21CBD fit in to it.

 

Yeah also true. Those two albums definitely had a lot of fans from "the scene" for sure.

They really did a great job pivoting to a sound and look/aesthetic that meshed their 90s sound with what was popular in the 2000s haha

If they’re not waiting for the vinyl, they could drop it whenever they want really. They finished the album in between the first and second leg of the US tour if i’m remembering correctly? How quickly can blink cut the vinyl line/have them produced haha
