I mean Fred is a good guy. Capitol ME seemed pretty mean

Fred definitely seems like a good guy, but I also get the sense that everyone was probably a prick in that situation. Also even though I love new again, Capital M-E always felt forced

Better Homes and Gardens feels pretty mean to me, too, but boy what a great song

I spun up New Again for the first time in ages last night and I think I like it even more than I already did.

I was never big on the songs New Again and Sink Into Me, but I was vibing with them pretty hard last night lol. Carpathia continues to be one of the best songs they've written

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

we could always circle back to my personal favourite type of discussion, why didn't Ballad of Sal/Brooklyn/Winter Passing/You Were Right etc make the album

Is it Blue Channel for you then? Something’s gotta be at the bottom.

For real. Their b-sides are great more often than not. My personal favorites are Follow the Format and Mackey Sasser

Hell, practically every self titled b-side is better than most of the album we ended up getting. Baffling decisions

I also preferred the version of You Should Have Waited that they played in their initial reunion tour over the actual recorded demo

    ...because they'd be New Again.

The self-titled demos are great. I feel like with that album Warner had maybe a little extra influence as far as what ended up on the album (but also this is mostly just me giving the band the benefit of the doubt lol)

Somebody in the discord was collecting questions last week. Not sure if any/all the questions will be from the live comments.

Am I the only one who comes back to this more frequently than nearly everything else in their discography?

For a band that’s notoriously not very good live, they do have some killer live albums haha

Pretty sure Fred or Fazzi accused the band of heavily editing their live albums.
