There’s a really nice new 1200 cap venue opening later this year in the city closest to me (it’s mostly a dump), and I’m super curious to see what kind of tours come through. There’s a 600 cap venue a few blocks away from here that really only hosts local bands, tribute bands etc, but I’m really hoping some actual international acts and “bigger” bands get booked at this new joint.

 

Is California Is For Lovers not selling well? I’ve been seeing multiple giveaways for tickets which struck me as odd. Each band on the lineup did a ticket giveaway. A coffee place near me was doing a giveaway, and now… Knotfest?…

 

honestly I feel like the headliners are low key kinda weak. The bottom of the page is stacked

like thrice, SWS, and bayside probably play the LA area all the time

 

Yes, that was me. It was 15k+ tickets for NJ, 11k for CT and they sold out the Raleigh show that was 6k capacity.

 

I think most of us got our Thrice fix on the 20 year tour.

 

I could see that. I was just a bit surprised since that type of music does really well in OC

 

They probably could’ve pushed some more tix if Thrice was doing an Artist In The Ambulance set. Both Anaheim shows sold out super quick so it could’ve served as an alternative date for people that couldn’t make either show (AKA: me. And I’m still salty about it)

 

After sound and fury I will not be attending an outdoor show for the rest of the year

 

ok, this actually goes crazy

 

honestly the ticket price is too high for this lineup. the lack of newer bands besides touche amore doesn't help. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the tickets sold were the $100 early bird tickets from before the lineup was announced.
