2007, junior year of high school. I found album reviews via Wikipedia articles of albums, got sucked into comments sections, then onto the forums.

 

The consensus on the YCMB was that AP was great for news, but everyone was mean.

 

Circa 2005 after seeing ap.net mentioned a few times in the comments on thrice.net
Before that, I remember being on linkinpark.com

Lurking on Gen Pol specifically after Jeb! swept the nation in November 2016

 

I had no idea so many people here used to be active on Associated Press.

Joined AP in 03 (7th grade). Pretty sure I still have the “I will fight” wristband in a drawer somewhere

 

joined when i was 15 in 2009 after pete wentz posted a link to the site on twitter. still here almost 15 years later, even though i've had ~20 accounts permabanned since then lol

made an account on last fm a few months after joining, and looking at what i was listening to back then always makes me laugh. there are so many people on this site who influenced my taste in music and film without even knowing it

I don't remember how I found this place or when, but I started posting here in the LOST threads when it was on the air. I didn't venture outside the thread though as I was a little leery of the community, to be quite honest. And when the show ended, I stopped posting.

Instead I was a resident of another forum that was more active rock leaning. It started as AudioAggression, became Tunelab, and finally Alternanoise. Then it shut down, and I eventually gravitated back here, feeling everything out and getting more comfortable.

 

And not one of those posts has been good

Probably one of the few who got to AP/here from sports. I think for the longest time I only posted in the soccer thread, so I am going to assume that is what brought me here. I think I already knew the site from the music aspect but the soccer thread is what kept me here and got me posting. We actually had a meet up with folks from that thread for the USA vs. Mexico match in Columbus back in 2009.

 

I joined in 2004, but didn't make the migration to Chorus. I rejoined back around the pandemic, I think. I've deleted all my social media and Reddit, so I needed someone other than my kids to shoot the shit with.

 

The AP sports forum 2005-2012 or whatever was legit.
