I'm so old now, a headliner going on at 11 sounds like an exhausting experience.

Crying were good enough that I'll check out their album Friday, Hotelier were great, and Joyce Manor was good, even if their set is almost comical with how short the songs are.

Show last night didn't start until 9, so I think you'll be okay, haha. Hotelier on about 10, then Joyce at 11. I bowed out at about 11:30 haha.

 

Tight. So funny looking up joyce manor's set lists online. they are like 23 songs long.

 

Yes you do. The 3 songs they've released from their new album (out Friday) are awesome:

 

Crying is good, but seeing them live and listening to the recorded songs... I just want her to belt, because she's got a great voice.

Too often last night she got lost in the mix, but when she let loose it was breathtaking.

I still like "Goodness Pt. 1" more than "Goodness Pt. 2," but the latter has grown on me immensely. The whole record has. This really is a great wandering around in the fall record.

 

Also the lyrics of "Opening Mail for My Grandmother" are so lovely.

 

It's really wild to me (and I may have said this before) how Sun turns literally any mundane thing into a celebratory experience. Like, I was just buying a sandwich wtf I don't need to get sentimental about it but also I love it

 

Sun might be my SOTY for this exact reason.

 

At the very least it's my favorite from this album

 

Okay, yeah, End of Reel reached kind of ridiculous proportions for me as well, tie
I listen to Goodness more than Home now even though I love them equally, because Goodness is the kind of album that like I can listen to and feel better about anything. That and Harmlessness.

 

Same. I didn't think I would ever like any of their stuff more than intro, but things happen, I guess

 

Yeah, I think I'm comfortable with calling End Of Reel their best song now.
