I can only imagine wrestlers would be tripping over each other to get on that episode lol. Hell, Jake Crist just straight up burned the titles when he didn't get paid.

 

This has gotta be the most anyone has ever talked about Ryan Nemeth right?

 

And EVERYBODY who wasn't a disillusioned geek saw it coming.

 

The best way I saw this described is Punk is trying to shoot himself into a work because him vs The Elite is the biggest thing he can do in his career at this point.

Really thinking about this Cody interview today and how perfectly he puts it and all but directly calls out Punk

(But of course the mark in me is thinking its interesting this is happening super close to a show with Collision/Dy

 

They gotta work extra hard to make mean subtweets sound interesting on the DSOTR episode for this.

 

Everyone here cares way too much about backstage stuff lol

 

Gonna be deeply funny when he melts down after All Out again...

 

Some of it is silly, like the womens drama that's mostly nothing and got played up for All Access...and since Vince isnt doing the backstage stuff, most of WWE's drama has died down, so AEW's all that's left.

But the CM Punk stuff has been enduring for a year, cost them multiple months of their best wrestlers, forced them to vacate two titles and ruined several months of planned stories, etc...and now we've got several wrestlers, including a top star, who cant even get in the building at TV tapings. Seems like kind of a big deal. I'd put it on par with Sasha/Naomi walking out of WWE...or like Roman getting popped for PED's...

 

Until it actually affects anything on the current all in card then I don’t care

to be fair his antics only caused one vacant title because he got hurt and was gonna have to vacate it anyways

I guess I just don’t care - way actual worse things happened in the 80s 90s and early 00s of pro wrestling for me to really care about grown men being in their feelings

 

Prob shouldn't even count Beth, Edge wrestles 5 times a year, same with Brock, Cena barely ever, Orton been out and career threatened. Shelton basically a jobber.

All of those AEW guys wrestle way more often outside of maybe Sting.

 

Definitely this and not a lack luster All In card is causing this

 

Yeah I think I posted last week I want an entire 2000's Indies DSOTR season

• IWA-MS/Axl Rotten. All the stuff you mentioned They can also cover the horrific Mike Levy incident
• The story of how Rob Feinstein founded ROH, it's early rise, how Feinstein almost destroyed the company when he got caught trying to solicit a minor, and then how Cary Silkin swooped in when nobody else would and saved the promotion
• The rise and fall of Chikara. They could go over all the stuff around Quackenbush that led to the fall of the company
• I would love entire Necro Butcher episode
• I would also love a Larry Sweeney episode

 

Ultimately I think all these guys in this dumbass shit are more alike than they’d like to admit

 

JAS has to be one of the worst factions of all-time, right? Like, I'm sure there are jobber factions that were worse, but they took up so much time every week for over a year, elevated nobody & whoever they feuded with usually came out looking worse even if they went over. Just a colossal waste of time.

 

Also I think a Kurt Angle DSOTR just talking about his injuries, addiction, recovery, his insane TNA run, and the stuff between him an Jarrett would be sick.

The interview he recently did with Jon Bernthal (his nephew-in law) was fascinating.

 

This conversation reminded me that Ryan Nemeth is going to be in the A24 Von Erich movie playing Gino Hernandez.

 

I care so much about how I don't care usually tbh so I end up caring

This would've been awesome. Even better the fact that we smoked his official Jackknife joint before the show. Glass filter. Dude went fancy.

 

I was even predicting before the show that this would happen. Was surprised he didn't show up.
