I have one of those Vizio 5.1 home theater soundbars if that counts.

 

Does it sound different from if you had a five speaker setup?

 

I'm sure there are a lot better ones, but it's technically the same with the soundbar as the 3 facing, then two small surround speakers on each side and a subwoofer.

It's a good budget option.

I have a 5.1 set up. The last time I looked into it, not a lot of stuff even did 7.1, so I didn’t bother with it. This was a good few years back now though.

A sound bar usually has a subwoofer, and the bar is the 3 front speakers you’d get in a 5.1, but all connected. You’d not get the rear left and right and not have surround sound.

which you would want is up to you and if you have the ability to have 5 speakers throughout your room or just the sound bar upfront.

Do you think the rear speakers add very much to the experience? I have 5.1 on my PC and it's good for gaming but for movies the surround speaker volume is usually so low compared to the front three

 

I mean, it depends on how each media is set up audio wise. Some movies or shows don’t really utilize all 5. Sometimes it would be weird to do so. I love it for stuff like Star Wars and Jurassic Park type movies. I like it, but I think have a sub is more important. So if you go soundbar, make sure it has a sub. I think most do, but I know some don’t.

Honestly had no idea actually she was in them until recently.

 

Wonder Woman may be her only good movie. She was in Fast Five though, right? Cause she “died” in 5? Fast Five was good. So, maybe two good ones.
