It sucks when my WFH room is also my gamer room =*(

 

What I like about WFH is that I can take my time in the morning then quickly knock out all of the work I actually have to do and then just be done. I don’t have to twiddle my thumbs waiting until 5:00 just so some manager thinks I’m still being productive.

Just heard a news broadcast talk about how there are less serial killers out there nowadays because of cops getting them before they can kill again and I just thought "that's because the cops are the serial killers".

 

there was a tweet the other day of a statistics graph showing the decline in serial killers over the last few decades and the caption was “no one wants to work anymore”

Honestly ok whatever but why the fuck do I have to pay my student loans again??

 

My expenses have gone up a lot the last couple years. I’m honestly not sure I can even make the monthly payment my student loan servicer is telling me I have even though I make a lot more than I did 3 years ago

 

Just feel the need to vent here because I think I’m officially ready for summer to be over. Thanks to the wonderful new state of the world and our ever worsening weather patterns, it seems like just about every week to every other week this summer we have had massive thunderstorms blow through here in Michigan with threats of tornadoes each time. Some folks here may remember that a couple years back a tornado blew through our area, knocking over a massive tree that destroyed our house and cars while my family and I were all inside. My son is just about eight years old now and absolutely terrified of even the slightest rain. Tonight as we were sitting here the tornado sirens went off AGAIN and my son promptly lost his ever loving mind and began to shake and sob uncontrollably. I cannot stand the thought of this happening every year for the rest of our lives and getting worse while a massive percentage of the public willingly turns a blind eye to it and insists it’s not real. I’ve lived here my entire life. It has never been like this before and I don’t care what these dipshits think. Tell that to my utterly mortified son.

 

I have had this exact same thought process, only thing kind of saving my ass here is me moving in with my partner here in like six months. Just had to add a car payment and the increase of insurance in the past few months that didn't help.

 

Yeah I just went through a divorce which had the opposite effect financially :( Upped my payment and upped my expenses. Wish there was a ppp loan I could get to pay this crap off!

 

yeah the rains and storms are way more intense. I remember a few really bad storms growing up, and I remember them because they were so rare! Now we have them constantly. Just had two floods in two days here.

 

Yeah I feel like we’d have those types of super violent, scary storms like once a summer back when I was young…now it’s like once every 3 weeks or so

 

Yes! Those rare instances stick out in my mind for the same reason. Storms where I had to go in the basement with my parents were few and far between. This summer it has been constant.
