the reason Baldur's Gate 3 has so few reviews is because codes were sent 4 days before launch and it's a 100+ hour game.

While it will never have the amount that Zelda has, I don't think the current metascore is shaky based on the amount of reviews.

Yeah if you're looking at products at Amazon and one of them has 4.5 stars and 150 reviews and another has 4.6 stars and 15 reviews... I'm probably going with the one that has more reviews.

But like, in this case they are completely different games in completely different genres. So its like looking at Amazon reviews for two completely different products.

If you're wasting any energy trying to argue one or other is better... why not just put that energy into actually playing one of the games I promise you'll have more fun.

Zelda’s just a series that millions of us grew up with and it has evolved along with us. There’s also a certain magic that Nintendo brings to many of their games that few other studios do or are capable of. That’s vague as shit but it’s true, as least from my experience.

I loved BOTW and I love TOTK since it’s essentially BOTW 1.5 lol. It never blew me away and I think that’s because Elden Ring has cast a large shadow over other open world adventure games.

 

How does Disco Elysium only have 11 reviews on Metacritic?
