I enjoyed this. Fun, silly, absurdist humor with a poignant core. I can 100% see why some men are upset with it, but its exactly the types, and for the reasons youd expect - a bunch of dweebs who take everything at face value, and won't critically think about anything the movie was saying.

It truly committed fully to the vision and concept in every aspect, and it deserves the recognition, accolades and now huge $$'s its bringing in.

 

$1.03 billion. Little under $300 million away from beating Mario to be the #1 movie of 2023. It has a shot.

 

Watched this again today, this time with friends, they were all really surprised with how much they liked it

 

It's a matter of when, not if, it beats Mario. Barbie is outpacing Mario pretty good on the weekdays.

 

It all depends how it holds up with schools going back in session. It still has $300 million to go. More movies are opening overseas as well. It will need a steady box office overseas to have a shot. If it can bring in another $150 million domestic and foreign then it will beat it.

Of course. But I don’t think it’s worth being annoyed just from him being not funny. The reason to be annoyed by him is all the times when he’s not trying to be funny — when he is just being super nitpicky about obviously incorrect but small details in fictional works

This one seems more like he is poking fun at himself for exactly that
