Basically, in 2020 a UN initiative to limit sulphur in shipping fuels went into effect, and SO2 has a temporary cooling effect. In ohter words, our pollution was also accidentally providing some artificial cooling via seeding clouds and etc. He ends up saying obviously polluting to cool the environment is a bad idea that can't work, but there may be other safer/natural ways to seed clouds to help deflect sunlight and etc. I can't speak to how realistic or workable they are, but was a cool thing to read about

Correct from my understanding, in fact I am starting to hear about their flipping of marketing on this and talking about the total save this would be for all eligible folks.
