I have a cowlick in my bangs that makes them look unevenly cut and won't go away no matter what I do

Yeah I’ve always had a terrible terrible cowlick. Can’t ever get my haircut certain ways because of it.

I came home to nap over lunch and this is the exact time my patio is getting power washed.

  9. How long is your lunch that you can come home to nap? How long are you napping?

To be totally honest, being salaried and not hourly has taught me that no one truly gives a shit what you do when you do it as long as you don’t miss meetings and still get stuff done.

Perfect world scenario for me would be a nap of 2-3 hours but today I just needed a solid 30 minutes to feel even somewhat normal today. And I live 5 minutes from work and we’re only onsite one day a week so I don’t have travel time eating into my lunch “window” too much.

In the event someone at work would get hostile about me being away for more than 60 minutes for lunch, I can very easily identify all the bullshit I’ve done outside of 8-5 to show I’m working well over 40 hours a week and really shouldn’t be concerned with where those 40 hours show up.

This dude on hinge. For one I know nothing about him. I asked his interests in things he likes to do or things he wants to get into (a general statement/question for conversation) and he turned it into like a hangout/date topic. Like how do I turn the conversation back around.

The realtor I’m working with sending me listings that are $50-$75K above my highest limit

My highest private student loan just went up to 10.75% and going to go up again to 11.25% in October.

I'm already paying $678 for that student loan. I have another private student loan at $119. When federal kicks back in, that's another $350 on top of those.

I'm going to be spending like $3k+ a month just on rent and student loans. Beyond stressed.

Also realized I'm being overcharged on my energy supplier. Just called and dropped from $.18/kwh to $.13/kwh so that's good at least. Should save me $30-40 a month.

Not annoying so much as awkward but if I'm at a food cart pod and walk up closer to see the menu and the employee perks up like I'm gonna order from them but I just have to awkwardly be like ehhh... just reading the menu sry bye

the worst is when you walk into a place see the menu/prices and say no thanks internally and walk out haha

Drive thru places that don’t have a menu before pulling up to order

I always have this memory as a kid when my mom took us to this local restaurant for dinner and we sat down with the menus and it was too expensive and she had us get up and leave. I get it as an adult but as a reaction im the complete opposite and will order something as I die inside. Even if it's their fault and they overcharge me I get too anxious to say anything :verysad:

I got my beard trim and hair cut like I do every two months. The stylist that did it must have been her first day cutting hair. She messed it up so much. I’ll have to start requesting the one I like the most.

Finding a local place that takes appointments has been a game changer for me. I always get the same barber.

After way too long I just realized in the last couple of years if you find someone that does your hair like you like, ask for their card and only go to them. Helps if you stop going to Fantastic Sams and Supercuts. I've been liking Floyd 99 recently, they seem to attract a little higher caliber of talent.

I had one person who was my haircutter and they quit like 7 years ago and I've been adrift ever since haha

Yeah making appointments is key with haircuts whether you're at a barber or hair stylist. Building that trust is huge for me personally since I've always been pretty particular about what I get and my hair is weird as fuck. I'd be so stressed at the barber if I wasn't getting cut by the same person every time. Only ever had 3 long term barbers over the past 20 years of getting real hair cuts that weren't just my mom giving me a buzzcut in the kitchen and I initially only switched barbers since my first guy died of old age.
