My vinyl shipped today

 

I don't mind this album. Something new to listen to I guess, but not as good as The King of Whys. Also what's with most of the song titles just being the first line that Mike comes in with? That was a random thing that bothered me

 

The song titles were all the last line on the first album, so they switched it around

well cool, this is really good

absolutely gorgeous - it is obviously not better than LP1, but no one was expecting that

so happy to have another album from these guys

 

also, I like how it is a bit more concise this time around, which gives it a certain unique personality so to speak

 

Album is really great. Sounds a little like Owen (but Owen is good so whatever) and some lyrics are meh, but fuck musically it's gorgeous. I'm loving the spontaneity of the thing

LP2 arrived today, but LP1 didn't. Not sure if it's coming separately or if they forgot it.

 

mine should arrive Tuesday. I got the big pre-order because I'm a sucker for stuff I can put on my wall, those prints/pennant sucked me in.

 

The highs on this album are higher than the highs on the first album. Really good shit.

 

It's really hard to compare two albums that are almost two decades apart. LP1 in 1999 is legendary, everyone loves it, however LP2 is so much more structured and more "with the times" nowadays. I love both. I hope people stop saying this sounds like Owen.

 

Eh, it's not that big of a deal. Owen is basically just a stripped down version of American Football anyway. It's also not as good.

 

I need to listen to this, is it good?

Honestly my whole perception of this is altered now after the Kim comments. I only listened once before he said all that, and now I just don't know how to feel. I just don't have the urge to go back after that.
