First impressions are positive. Still not sure how I feel about Blame. Not sure how I feel about Funny how. Rest is great.

Lord have mercy this is just really hitting the spot for me. The boys put out a banger! leave in five is ridiculously catchy. This is going to be on heavy rotation for the rest of the summer. Cannot wait to hear this new stuff live.

    Their rock-“
I feel mainly similar to this, really enjoy this record but LLL remains their best for me and it’s not particularly close.

This is very much stripped back for them and it already blows the last two albums out of the water for me...and I like those albums a lot.

This album met my already high expectations! These guys always release albums at turning points in my life and this one is no different.

Was crying like a baby to funny how? At midnight.

Lovely Little Lonely is a top 5 album for me, and I have a lot of love for The Maine and their records so...why is this not hitting at ALL? A lot of these tracks aren't doing a whole lot.

Going to give it a few more listens but right now I'm not vibing with this in the same way it seems like everyone else is. That said, very VERY glad everyone else is digging this album. It's nice to see this much positivity for a release such as this. Happy 8123 day!

I made the mistake of staying up to listen to this at midnight, and I ended up being up until three blasting this in my headphones. This record is exactly what i was looking for from them. The production is excellent, Johns voice sounds great, and it feels fresh and current but still them.

Isn't it funny how is probably my least favorite but my wife and I are trying for our first child so i assume that will change with time.

I think there are probably fewer standouts on this record, but as a complete, more consistent piece I like it a lot.

How to Exit a Room is currently vying with Not Strong Enough by boygenius for my SOTY, so that one is kind of untouchable for me right now, but i think about you all the time / thoughts i have while laying in bed is an incredible back-to-back combo. Really liking this so far

The need for an instant rating and comparison to other albums has become the most tiresome, boring way to talk about music

It’s more groovy than rocky and it doesn’t really have a moment that it explodes or takes off - at least that’s what i’ve attributed it to. I still think it’s very good, but LLL is the far superior record for me.

Totally agree. I’m badly guilty of it and need to start putting new albums in an entirely new box instead of throwing them in and comparing immediately with others.

I think the comparison comes from how quickly the album grabs you. I haven’t been grabbed sonically like this by them since LLL.

“i think about you all the time” is one of my favorites on here the more time that i spend with it
