It would be dumb of them not to, if that was indeed a Messi requirement (doubt it is though).

  4. The turf debate in Charlotte is driving me crazy but I get both sides of it.

The stadium hosts an NFL and MLS team + several big concerts throughout the year. It would be very difficult to keep the field in proper conditions for each event. And I think the natural field that has been destroyed by overuse is just as dangerous, if not more, than the turf. But....I also see why all the players hate the turf.

We are going to build a new stadium in the near future and I've read the owner wants to do something similar to what Tottenham did with the ability to switch out fields. But we are at least a few years away from that being done.

The team already came out and said they don't plan on switching out the field for the Miami game. And this caused a lot of anger haha and I will be pretty disappointed if this decision results in me not being able to watch Messi in-person. But again, I get it from the team's perspective. Why should they do something that will help the opposition?

Checking a few other articles, it doesn't quite seem like Messi is a firm "No" when it comes out playing on artificial turf, but not likely. I would assume if the team gets to a tricky situation of needing to win a game or two for playoff reasons, they could potentially force him to play.

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

I did a quick google search and there's no reputable site saying its a strong rumor.

Just tons of speculation and some teams saying they won't change

  7. I wish Tepper was planning on doing two stadiums, one for Panthers and one for Charlotte FC.

It'd just be so much easier for everyone. And I hate that FC averages a little over 30k per game but it looks sad anyways because the stadium holds 70k lol

  8. It's been consistently reported that Kane won't put pressure on the club to make this deal happen. So if Bayern are counting on that from Kane, instead of increasing the offer, I think he stays.

  9. I don't understand how they can claim that the meeting went into such detail about a potential deal, end the meeting with there still being a large gap in price/offer, say you're going to ask Kane to put pressure on Spurs.....and then say it was a positive meeting lol

Like those details don't add-up to a "positive meeting" imo. A positive meeting usually means progress on an actual agreement and doesn't include a plan of getting the star player to turn on his club.

I feel like saying it was a positive meeting is basically the pleasantries that everyone does.

I also think, given that ownership told Levy that Kane must be sold or resigned, Bayern is playing this smart. He won’t resign, so he must be sold and he’s ruled out any other destination, so no need to alway about another team swooping in. It might mean waiting until the end of the window, but the offer is reasonable and no need to bid against yourself if all of the above is true.

bummer, was still hopeful that he would spurn chelsea as he seemed to really like brighton and would get playing time there.

These Bayern/Spurs Kane negotiations are given me flashbacks to when City tried this exact same thing.

  14. If Kane did stay and we somehow won a cup or finished top 4, would he stay? Is that worth the risk?

Ehhh, City was led on by Kane and his people that Levy would make good on the gentlemen's agreement that Kane could leave whenever he wanted to if a good deal came through.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Kane’s people is his brother. City never reached the value they had set. Nobody was led on lol

I might live to regret this, but from watching a bit of Sporting this guy is not very good lol.

Young and raw, I guess, but I really don’t think he will ever be good enough for the PL.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Fabinho has scurried off to Saudi as well. I wonder how this plays out when they've blown a colossal amount of money on teams/players and then nobody pays any attention to the league at all.
