  1. Oh, I was wondering if you could replace those. Mine has "Insignia" in big stupid letters and it shows through any transparent record

I would also like to replace the lid with something not so tinted but I don't think those are as universal

Gonna Ride My Palomino, Ride 'im to the Fair.

Ha! I have one - I got it with Real Estate's "In Mind."
It's okay, but if the air is shit in my place, static can cling it to an album.. I've wondered if I should invest in an anti static gun thingy.

  3. I think the most I’ve ever spent per LP is 120ish for a sealed copy of Mermaid Ave Vol I which is a 2xLP. I generally am not willing to go past 50 for a single LP

NOW there is a copy of my #1a white whale (The Wrens - The Meadowlands, 2xLP) in great condition sitting in a shop a couple hours from me for $255. So that might all change soon, that one’s never getting repressed and the copies from the sole pressing, which was over in Germany 17 years ago, ain’t getting any younger…

  4. If I had to have the heat on 8-9 months a year like I assume you do in even southern Ontario I’d buy one lol

In winter here I use rubber slip mat, not felt, and am diligent with anti static brush

I don't use one but I do have an acrylic platter which I love and also makes photos look cooler. It sounds so much better than the standard metal platter on Pro-ject turntables. Depending on what TT you have, might be an option.

    Die rad.

I had a felt mat on my Project for a decade, finally upgrades to the acrylic platter last year and kick myself for not doing it much earlier.

We reach for the longest shadow

Acrylic on my RT85, but before that I rocked a Sturgill Simpson one I got when I preordered A Sailor's Guide to Earth, then another one when I preordered Protest the Hero's Palimpsest. Even though I wouldn't use them now, I think they're a fun preorder bundle item.

i'm sick of my Audio Technica slipmat sticking to my records when I pick them up so I just ordered an acrylic platter

You've all got me intrigued by the acrylic platter upgrade. I ordered a cork / rubber mix slipmat for now since it was only $15.

We reach for the longest shadow

It's going to be relatively negligible depending on your setup. Honestly I got it with my Fluance because it looked cooler with a white turntable.

will probably upgrade my slipmat one day, but my sister gifted me and my partner a felt one with a photo of us on it last Christmas, so that's been my go-to for a while now.

I have an acrylic platter but didn’t realize I could use it without a slipmat lol
I had been using it with a cork mat. Guess I’ll take that off now

Of sugar and ice I am made

I had an acrylic mat on my LP120, but my new turntable came with a rubber one so I'm just using that now.

I have an acrylic platter but still use a slipmat. I have a John Carpenter one and one from Seth Rogan's weed company House Plant. I really want that Keith Haring cork mat someone posted in here a long time ago though.

Depending on your record collection, I would be prepared to spend some money for this particular drop.
