  2. North I think was the most I ever spent on a non-boxset album. Hannah told me to just bite the bullet and get it. Looking at my eBay history, Direction was also expensive in 2020.

I realized I haven't really spent much more than sticker on almost my entire collection. Excluding box sets I think my biggest purchase was Radiohead's OK NOT OK on 180g blue, purchased for a grand total of $60.

last year a fellow member (you know who you are, and i thank you greatly) sold me the Help Yourself boxset for a little less than $200, so that's the most i've ever spent on a single release.

Have any of you ever had any issue where some of your records feel like they're just ahead of time? Listening to my new copy of Ocean Avenue (the alternate cover one from UDiscover.) It's clean and sounds generally good, but I can't help but feel like it's just a tad faster than I know the record to be.

This has happened to me with other albums before, and I've never been able to decipher if my brain is playing tricks on me or not. Using a Denon DP-300F with an Ortofon Red.

I had this happen with the Underoath they’re only chasing safety/define the great line 2xLP they did a few years ago. I swore it sounded like it was too fast and in the wrong key.

the ending of this story is one of my favorites because I traded it on vinyl collective for an OG unopened copy of chasing safety. It was like 13 years old and never been opened. One of my favorites

    Die rad.

Most I paid for a record was like 14 years ago and it was $100 for an original pressing of At The Drive In's Relationship of Command from the Vinyl Collective message board. That was a big deal for me back then and a big spend considering I made like $11 an hour.

Haha. I was well out of high school by '05.

Back then my money was well spent/wasted on CDs and all the band merch... I had so much sweet band merch. Since it was the Myspace days, they were like 2-3 sizes smaller than they should've been haha. The thought of me and this present day dad bod cramming into a size small/medium is unfathomable!

If I ever find myself in TN for some reason I'll hit you up!

Most I've paid for a record was that boxset Glassjaw were doing on their anniversary run last year that you could only pre-order and then collect from one of the shows. I think it was £150 on top of the ticket, so just shy of $200.

Last I checked it's now going for £500/$640 on Discogs.

  22. I got Arlo Parks' yellow Collapsed in Sunbeams at Urban Outfitters, it wasn't discounted in store but they were nice enough to match their online price!
