Yeah I'm more so weirded out by the timing of the trade than the actual trade. If it happened in March or during the draft I'd understand but it was what, mid May? Camp wasn't even open

 

Smith has obviously shown way more than Davenport ever has so, yeah, if the Vikings are trying to compete then I’d rather have Smith than Davenport. I guess the Vikings are trying to convince themselves that they could commit to Davenport for another three years if he’s good while they’re resetting the roster elsewhere.

Still a weird move to sign Davenport.

 

They don't view it as a need that warrants a big move like that. I wanted Nolan in the draft

 

I really want to know what Kwesi’s plan is. I’ve always heard he’s a smart guy so I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he’s made some head-scratching moves in his two years with the team so far. That’s why I’m very fascinated to see what they do moving forward. Their competitive enough to win their own division, but they obviously aren’t good enough to go further than that
