Yellowcard was always my favorite band and I just started going to shows in 2008/2009 so I just missed them. I remember religiously checking their wikipedia for reunion updates before I knew about absolutepunk

pov @williamryankey says he hates Miles Apart but it was the song that got you through a breakup of a girl you met at church camp who was your gf for 3.5 days.

The mix, lighting and presentation on this tour is top tier stuff, man. And they sound incredible. Stoked for the Minneapolis show in a few days.

At last nights show, they added Life of a Salesman and removed Five Becomes Four from the setlist. Curious to see if this sticks.

I like both songs. So, I’ll be stoked with anything when I see them, but the one they swapped out is a much better song, IMHO.

Yeah no kidding, that song is like a top 5 for me. I’d be so bummed if they didn’t play it haha

Don’t love that switch. Wish they’d just add it since they’re only doing 19 songs but I’m sure there’s a reason. Perhaps the fact they haven’t played shows regularly in almost a decade and I should just be happy to see them again at all lol

I’m fine with the switch. The song they added seems like a deeper cut to me and I did think it was odd they weren’t playing it this tour.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if it was a one-off switch

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

Five Becomes Four is far superior

I wasn't surprised to see the switch given the focus on Ocean Avenue for this tour. We'll see what they do moving forward. I think it's fun when bands swap some songs in and out of the setlist throughout the life of a tour anyway. Keeps things interesting

    Fight the long defeat.

Think it could ever become... top 4?

That live stream was such a perfect tease, too. I'm so stoked to hear them all again...specifically "Hiding in the Light" which I think may be one of the strongest tracks they've put out in a very, very long time.

I've been dying to hear that one again in particular ever since the stream. I just remember the prominent guitar riff being sooo good.

Truly remarkable turn for Yellowcard. Very happy they are seeing the immediate success on their tour. Enough that it warrants them just saying, "let's give it another go." In an industry that is often unforgiving like this one, it's just really cool to see the resiliency of the band and each member, yet again. Not really sure what Sean and Josh do outside of the band, but cool to see everyone make it happen. Can't really think of another band to compare this situation to.

I saw Yellowcard in NYC at the Rooftop at Pier 17. The show was excellent but my only complaint was that for large stretches of a lot of the songs the violin was mostly drowned out at least to my untrained ears. The guys in the band still got it though for sure. My favorite performance from the night was when they slowed it down and played Empty Apartment.

Key continuously emphasized how thankful he is to be back with the band touring and releasing new music as well. He also said they are here to stay and this isn't a one off or something to that effect.

The merch from Yellowcard and SOTY was superb too. SOTY was selling a shirt with a tiger on it that is awesome and I picked up the long sleeve YC Believe long sleeve and a white Tee with black writing that has a nice look to it like a normal shirt you can wear out without looking like you are just in a band T. Between the group I thought it was the best collection of tour merch I've come across in awhile.

They were really really great yesterday brought me right back to the first couple years of seeing them after the first reunion. Sounded super tight and seemed very happy and into it. Went into the setlist blind and it was basically perfect and it was so cool to see them play to that many people.

I will say I was really soured on the band during the lift a sail / s/t era, just seemed like a completely different band live during those times and I did not care for those records at all. I am fully back on board now and looking forward to seeing what they do from here on out
