Turns out Nigel isn't involved with LP2. Sam Petts-Davies produced and mixed everything.


Edit: Sam produced and mixed the new single but it's unclear if he's in charge of LP2. Theyll be returning to the studio after the North American tour to finish the next album

Not yet, but the press release says this is a stand alone single

 

kinda wild in the best possible way they just casually dropped a song longer than any in Radiohead's discog

 

this is instantly one of their best songs. not just the smile's, but thom and jonny in general.

I had a feeling Forest Hills Stadium was a little too ambitious for them, especially after doing 2 nights at Hammerstein last Fall. Here's hoping these thunderstorm forecasts go away!
