Mission: Impossible films are just Tom Cruise's home movies. This is what he does in his spare time.

The last words he says every night before he goes to sleep are "See you at the movies"

This is my most anticipated for this summer. Though I am hazy on all the plot details, and due a rewatch before this one, I have never not had a fantastic time seeing one of these at the movies. The MI movies are just at the top of the pile when it comes to meticulously crafting an espionage action epic, and this looks like it's going to send the series out with a massive bang (assuming part II nails it). I'll probably not go back further than Ghost Protocol, but from that point on, they're all solid, getting better and better with each.

Just watched six, maybe I missed this, but the White Widow is a CIA agent? Or was she just working with the CIA?

  8. just got tickets for 7/10. I had no idea they were doing screenings that early.

I think they work together? She kind of works with anyone, if I recall correctly.

i think they did some earlier showtimes since oppenheimer took up what would’ve been their imax screens going forward

There's a screening at my theater available for this Sunday. It's called a Walmart First Look or something like that, but I could've reserved it on AMC A-List.

The bummer is that it's a standard screening, not IMAX or Dolby.

Yeah I just looked and there’s Sunday and Monday screenings now at my Cinemark. No good seats left though so just sticking with my Tuesday ticket.

Got Dolby for Wednesday evening and hey maybe I’ll go see it in imax next weekend too

I’d say just how they filmed it, waiting two days for IMAX or Dolby would be worth it.

AMC Quail Springs Mall 24, I don’t recall ever seeing this open. Took this photo a couple of years ago when I went to see Jungle Cruise by myself like a month after its release

There’s a theater near me that has the main concession stand and then 2 or 3 mini ones between some of the theaters. They’ve never been open.

The second concession stand at our local AMC has a giant curtain draped over and a bunch of arcade games and standees to distract you from thinking about it too hard.

I remember them being open but that had to be 20 years ago at this point.

So annoying since the Regal I most frequent also makes you buy your tickets at the concession stand now so there's always a crazy line. Like take two people from the main one and open up the secondary just for concessions.

I worked at a Regal as a teenager, we’re talking like 99-04…legit the only time we ever opened the other concession stand was for Episode 1 when it was released.

theaters that do this are fucked, one Cinemark near me you have to wait in the concession line even if you bought tickets online for them to be printed.

Rewatching all of these before Tuesday. I definitely haven't seen #2 and #3 in at least a decade.

  24. Got tix for Sun Jul 16 in dolby. I'll have to dip out of this thread next week until then, but I can't wait.

I'm rewatching the series as well. Through the first four so far, and I feel like M:I III doesn't get enough praise. I really love that one.

MI: 2 did not age well for me. Way too much John Woo.
